Julian Xue is an MD-PhD student at McGill University. En route to becoming a psychiatrist, he has completed the first part of his medical degree and is currently pursuing his PhD in McGill's department of Anthropology under the direction of Dr Andre Costopoulos.
Julian finished a bachelor's degree in math and biology at McGill before beginning medicine - a computer enthusiast, he has
become an aficionado of digital painting, which he will demonstrate for us. Julian has traveled extensively, with formal art training in China, psychiatry experience in Belize, and wanderings in Africa.

Gustavo Tanoni: Telecommunications

Gustavo Tanoni spoke to the Leadership and Big Picture students on October 10. A graduate of McGill Engineering faculty (B. Eng Electrical, M. Eng Aerospace), Gustavo has worked in many positions including at CAE and at Ericsson and as an independent software consultant. Since 2006 he is with Blueslice Networks, a company that builds next generation mobile network equipment for the world's leading telecom service providers.
He provided a history of telephone networks and wireless networks in particular and gave insights on the current technological shift to IP-based communications, as well as on what it means to work in his sector.
