Dr. Assaad El-Hakim: Robotic Surgery

Dr. Assaad El-Hakim performed Montréalʼs first robotic radical prostatectomy at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, a first for Québec. This innovation involves a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of prostate cancer - the most common cancer (by incidence) in men - through the use of robotic surgical instrumentation. Dr. El-Hakim is a urologist with extensive training (in the US) in the robotic treatment of urological cancers, the first Canadian with this specialized training. We are pleased to present this opportunity to learn about the future of surgery from an expert in
the field!
Join us on Friday, November 13 at 7:00 PM for an informal supper, followed by Dr. El-Hakimʼs presentation and an
opportunity for Q & A.
